Thankful Thursday...

I just found this at Sting My Heart. Since I had Lil'D I have had a bit of depression here and there. It took a while for me to completely give it to the Lord properly. I started a blog specifically dedicated to my blessings! I have been trying to add things as I go. It is more of a personal blog than one that I share. You can take a peak here if you want: EllieMaes Blessings

So here is what I am thankful for today:

1. My sweet husband, J...bless him for volunteering to do a honeydo list from me instead of picking Lil'D up from daycare. Because he gets home at 3:30pm or 4, it's so much easier for him to do the list instead of wasting time AND gas to go get Lil'D when I can pick him up on my way home. Not only do we save gas, but J does the chores when he gets home instead of me doing them at 9pm at night or not getting them done at all.

2. My sweet baby boy only has a cold. I am blessed that that is all he has. It could always be worse.

3. My boss is awesome! He just went on with his week without panicking because I wasn't there. He always says whatever is best for me! He is the best!

4. Pam...she takes care of Lil'D all week while J and I are at work. She has a wonderful home daycare. The kids are all so polite and well behaved. Pam is always so calm and in control. Lil'D just loves her and I do too!

5. My mama...every morning she gives me encouragement to get through the day. She encourages me to be strong!

25.Exercise at least 3x per wk

I have been consistent for the past month! I skipped one week due to having to travel for work. I had good intentions to work out while I was gone, but it just didn't work out. I have lost 6 pounds so far!!!

Much better day...

I feel much better today! I have found my strength. It was hiding yesterday.

I managed to get 9 hours of work done at home yesterday. Lil'D slept from 11am-1pm. He had his bottle and we played till 2:30pm. He ate some chicken and squash and I put him down for another nap. He slept from 3pm-5pm. J was home and got him up and fed him his bottle. He also ate some apples and strawberries a little later. He was off his usual schedule by an hour, but he really needed his sleep to get over this nasty cold. We played and played until 7:10pm. We gave Lil'D a bath. I tried to give him his bottle, J tried also, but Lil'D didn't want it. We put him to bed at 7:30pm. I did some more work until 9pm. I left the house at about 7:10 to pick up Auntie E, Uncle R & Andy from the airport. They had been in New York for a highschool band trip. They had a wonderful but hurried trip. I got back to the house at 10:15. I started feeling stopped up, my nose and eyes were itching and I was sneezing like crazy. I took some Airborn as soon as I got home. I have to remember to take care of me!!! We were in bed by 10:30. Not too bad for going to the airport that late. I was exhausted from the day and immediately fell asleep.

I just took it easy getting ready this morning. I didn't stress myself out. I stayed in bed till 6:30. I'm supposed to get up at 5:45am. I got Lil'D to daycare at 7:45 and got to work at 8:30. When you really look at all the time we spend in the car getting places, it's really quite amazing how much time we loose. Right now I feel like I am in a battle with time. There is not enough in a day, the days are passing by so fast and I want just a few hours of ME time a week. Just a few, that is all I ask. I would love to just sit down and read a book for an hour or just go window shopping or watch a whole movie. I just need to have more discipline with my time. I have also kind of let the house go this week. It is not a mess or anything, but I need to do weekly cleaning of the bathrooms so they don't get out of control. I need to disinfect the kitchen counters. That kind of stuff.
Today has been a great day so far, and I hope that it continues. "Senior" designer is in Cabo, so he won't be bothering me today. I have made a list and hope to get at least half of it done.

Weigh in....WEEK THREE

Weight 1st tuesday (5-1-07)______178
Weight 2nd tuesday (5-8-07)_____ 173
Weight 3nd wednesday (5-16-07)__174
Weight 4th tuesday (5-22-07)____172
Weight 5th tuesday (5-29-07_____172

I guess being stuck is better than gaining! It must have been that breakfast fest that happened at work last week that messed me up. I worked out 3 times last week also. Who knows. I will try not to be discouraged!! I have worked out twice this week already. I will try to stay focused and eat right. My moods are crazy right now. It is really hard to control my eating. I'm up and down.

Lil'D is really sick. He has had this nasty cold since Saturday. His cough sounds horrible. And there is so much snot! (TMI, I know...sorry) We took him to the doctor yesterday and he doesn't have anything other than a cold. He just has to ride it out. It is so hard being a full time working mother some days!!! Living in California doesn't afford us the option of me staying home. We are a two income family. I have to work to make ends meet. Maybe one day, but certainly not right now. Luckily, I have a great job! Days like today the guilt just pulls me down. I went in to work to burn a disk with my 2 projects on it and grabbed my notebooks on the jobs as well. I will try to work really hard and efficient while Lil'D naps. My poor sweet boy sounds so horrible when he coughs. He is just too cute to be this sick.
Monday...I did "Burn It Up" It was a 60 minute total body workout. It kicked my butt
Tuesday...I walked for 60 minutes. I am getting really bored of the videos. I needed to switch it up a little.

Happy 30th birthday Star Wars...

On Saturday we drove up to LA and went to the Star Wars Celebration IV. It has been 30 years since the first Star Wars movie came out. I have always been a big Star Wars fan. We decided on Wednesday that we were going to go. We drove up with Big D and Nick. We got to the Staples Convention Center at around 10am. We had to stand in line for tickets. Took about 15 minutes. Then we had to find the end of the line to get it. It was wrapped around the building. It only took about 20 minutes to get in. Big D immediately got in line to get Carrie Fisher's autograph. We walked around the vendors and some exhibits. There were tons of storm troopers and a couple of Darth Vader's. There were all kinds or Princess Leia's. It was really fun. Lil'D and I got our picture taken with Darth Vador.

Lil'D just wanted to push the buttons! This guy makes me look small!! I love that!!

__This is Lil'D and I and the real Darth Vador behind us. Lil'D and Daddy. Isn't that sweet?

__Lil'D also found his tongue today. It was really cute:

___I took this picture of the guys and some random people!

It was a really great day. Lil'D was such a good boy. He made mama really proud!

J worked out with me!!!

I can't believe it. J just worked out with me. I never would have thought this day would come. He is going to start doing my workout videos with me on Mondays and Thursdays. He plays softball on Tuesdays and Soccer on Fridays. He is wanting to build up his stamina. When he does the videos with me it really motivates me and I actually WANT to do them.
So once we put Lil'D to bed tonight we did Slim in 6 Ramp it up together. I have a workout partner, I'm so happy. Even if it is only 2 days a week, it's better than nothing!!

I have to get to bed now because I have to take Auntie E, Uncle R and Andy to the airport. They are going to New York for band. I have to be at their house at 4:15. I will get up at 4:10 and walk out the door at 4:14 and be at their house at 4:15. After all they have done for me, taking them to the airport at 4am is the least I can do.

Cheat day...

I'm just going to call this day my cheat day for the week. Which means no cheating this weekend!!
At work today we had SubZero/Wolf come in to the office today for product training. A couple of days ago they called and asked how many people should they bring breakfast for? We told them 15 people. The gal brought in enough food to feed 50 people. There was about 35 take out containers and each one had toast and hash browns in them along with one of the following: scrambled eggs and bacon, waffles, pancakes, cheese omelets, tex-mex omelets, home fries, and sausage. There was also 3 bags of bagels and a huge tub of cream cheese, 2 containers of muffins, a container of croissants, 2 huge tubs of sliced fruit and 1 container of orange juice. It was insane. It took all I had to control myself. I ate about 3 bites of scrambled eggs, 7 bites of hash browns (they were so good) and two pieces of bacon. I also had a glass of orange juice and some fruit.
For lunch I had 2 croissants, 2 pieces of bacon and a lemon muffin. BAD, BAD, BAD ELLIEMAE!! I guess it could have been worse.
Then to make things worse, my sweet hubby J, wanted to watch Lost tonight. I guess last night was the 2 hour finale. So as soon as we put Lil'D to bed we watched Lost. I am watching the season premiere of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. I love this show!!!
One more thing, I guess when J came home today he did my slim in 6 video to see if he could do it. He wants to work out with me. Can you believe it? I really can't. So...tomorrow night he is going to work out with me!!!!!!!!!

Work is neverending...

I helped Pj today with a new job. She is putting together a proposal. I fixed the island and I started pricing the cabinets in a program called Magic. I got super frustrated because I don't use all. "Senior" designer has spoiled me by using our custom line, which doesn't require me to price each cabinet. If we use one our lines that has a book. I have to price each item individually. Cabinets, doors, moldings, toekick, accessories, finish, wood and so on. After I got going in Magic it wasn't so bad. It was just the first few items that I felt impatient on.

Breakfast: Coffee (Bad)

Lunch: Salad

Snack: baked crackers

Dinner: grilled chicken & rice

snack: popcorn

Workout: 45 minutes "Ramp It Up"

Weigh in...WEEK TWO

Weight 1st tuesday (5-1-07)______178
Weight 2nd tuesday (5-8-07)_____ 173
Weight 3nd wednesday (5-16-07)__174
Weight 4th tuesday (5-22-07)____172 YEAH, YEAH, ME!!!!!

2 pounds, Wa-hoo!!! I am so happy for the scale to be going down!!!!!!!
I didn't get to workout last week. My workout consisted of cleaning the house all day on Friday, without sitting down once and going to Magic Mountain and walking around ALL day. Also, when I was in Montana on Monday and Tuesday there was a lot of stair climbing. That counts!!

I was really disappointed at first, because on Saturday morning the scale said 170. The two pounds is probably water weight. That is something I really need to work on. I'm going to do better TODAY!!!!
-Until next Tuesday weigh in!!!

Barely got thru Monday...

Got up at 6:20am this morning. I just couldn't get up. I got Lil'D to daycare at 7:30am. I got to work at 8am. I worked on the Master Entertainment Center for Barn.

I left work at about 4:20, picked up Lil'D and got home at about 5pm. I gave J a list of things to do when he got home. Here it is:
1. Unload and load dishwasher
2. Separate Lil'Ds clothes from the dryer
3. Clean shower in Masterbath
(He added change cat litter and vacuum)
What a wonderful husband he is!!! I couldn't do it without him!!!
We had to run to Costco and get diapers and formula.
Lil'D went to bed at 7:45. I worked out from 7:45-8:30. I took a shower and I just couldn't do anything but sit on the couch and be brainless. I still have things to do: birthday invitations & vacation planning. One night off won't hurt I guess.

1/2 grapefruit
2 boiled eggs
2 pieces of bacon

1/2 grapefruit

chicken & mashed potatoes

Crazy Weekend...

So we got up at 5:30am, got ready, got Lil'D ready and headed out. Lil'D was spending the day with Auntie E. Her kids had a soccer tournament at the beach and Lil'D would be joining them. J and I were off the Six Flags Magic Mountain with 5 others from our small group. We ate breakfast at IHOP. We got to the park at about 10:45am. We rode everything almost. It was a really fun day. Kaydee and I rode Tatsu, the new ride. We had a great time! I will never forget playing the celebrity name game for 1 1/2 hours with her!! She said I was a worthy opponent! The only ride we did not get to ride was X. It shut down due to technical difficulties while we were in line and about 5 or 6 rides away from the front. We headed home at about 10:00pm, got home at 1:00am. We picked Lil'D up, gave him a little bottle and put him back to bed. Auntie E said he was a perfect angel and had an exhausting day. He looked so tired!

Lil'D let us sleep in till 8:30am. We put him down for a nap at 9:45am. He slept until 1:45pm. J took a nap and I tidyed up the kitchen, unpacked our bag from yesterday and washed all of Lil'Ds clothes. After everything was back in it's place I started planning out our vacation that we are taking the last week in June. When Lil'D woke up we ate and played. He got tired at about 3:30 and took another nap. I took a nap this time. Lil'D woke up at about 5:30. We went to the grocery store and got Rubio's for dinner. We gave Lil'D a bath and a bottle and he was in bed by 7:45pm. J and I continued planning our vacation.
Time for bed!! Tomorrow is already Monday again. Where is the time going?

98.Go to Magic Mountain

We finally did this!! It was long overdue. It was J and I's first day away from Lil'D together.
Tatsu was AWESOME!!! Kaydee and I rode it together!! Waited 1 1/2 hours!

My precious day off...cleaned to death

I was so excited about having today off!! I took Lil'D to daycare at the usual time. I stopped and got a coffee on the way back home. I made myself breakfast and read a magazine while I ate. I started cleaning the house at 8:30am. Here are the details:
  • Cleaned countertop, toilet, mirror and floor in master bath
  • Cleaned countertop, toilet, mirror, floor & tub in guest bath
  • Clean up master bedroom
  • Pick up Lil'Ds room
  • Dust bookshelves in dining room
  • Clean table in dining room
  • Clean kitchen countertops, load dishwasher and run it
  • Wash all bath rugs, all towels, bed sheets, darks, and whites!!

Needless to say I got done at 5pm. I wasn't happy about that at all. I thought for sure I would be done by noon at least. I didn't even eat lunch. I thought for sure I'd be able to pick Lil'D up at about 2pm. J went to go get Lil'D while I took a shower. I fed Lil'D and daddy & Lil'D played together. The MOPS(Mother's of preschoolers) at church, are having a garage sale tomorrow and they always let me come check everything out the night before. I grab as many clothes as I can find that will fit Lil'D. Tonight I was looking for 18-24 months. I found some good stuff! I got back home in time to give Lil'D a bath, feed him and put him to bed. The whole time I was feeding him his bottle he would put his finger on the nipple and flick it so it would make a thump noise. He giggled every time he did it. He is such a funny boy. When I put him to bed I put the blanket I crocheted for him on him. He laid there so still with such beautiful big eyes looking up at me not making a noise. It was such a beautiful moment. My love for him is a love I never knew you could feel!

-Until tomorrow

69.Organize guest bath

I spent the whole day cleaning! I took extra time to completely purge and organize all the stuff that fits into the tiny base cabinet in the guest bath!!!
Yeah ME!!

Recap of this past week...

Last Wednesday, "Senior" designer called me when I was on my way home. He wanted to know if I wanted to go with him to the MustardStone project in Montana? I had to ask J first, because he would have Lil'D duty for Monday and Tuesday. The main thing would be getting him to daycare. I have to take him to daycare because J has to leave for work at 6am. I called Pam (the daycare lady) and asked her if she could take Lil'D at 6:30am on Monday and Tuesday. She said it would be fine. I called "senior" designer back and told him I could go.

I worked as fast as I could on the MustardStone drawings. There was a lot to get done. I was exhausted when I got home from work. I worked out after I put Lil'D to bed. Yeah me!!

I went in to work with the intention of trying to be done with all the drawings by noon. I didn't make that. I got everything drawn and printed out and packed up by 2:30. I got home at 3:15 and worked out!! I was so proud of myself for working out. I really didn't want to. It felt great when I was done. I stayed up till 1am. I redid my blog. I put in 3 columns and changed the colors.

J had to take Shadow to the vet. She had to get her last stitch out because she was so volatile last Saturday. We gave her a pill that was supposed to sedate her. It worked at first, but I think it wore off. We also put the plastic cone collar on her. J said that she sounded so evil when they pulled her out of the cage. I heard her when he got her home. It was almost an evil roar. You wouldn't have believed that it came from this sweet kitty!! This picture was taken the day after she got spayed. She was just exhausted and worn out. Poor baby kitty.
We met The Intimidator & Kaydee at the zoo. We had a really good walk around the zoo. The Alaskan Brown bear had snow in his enclosure and he was digging in the snow. Lil'D liked it. We went to Wal-Mart & Costco later that afternoon and relaxed the rest of the evening!

This was my first Mother's Day!! I got a card from J and Lil'D. J got a kit to put Lil'Ds hand impression in a heart. It will be fun to do!! We went out to lunch. It was really fun. Lil'D loves rice and biscuits! I also gave him some steamed squash. He is such a brave little eater. He has been kind of finicky lately. If I eat it, he usually will! After lunch we just had a relaxing day. When Lil'D went to bed I started packing for Montana. I didn't take much, I was only going to be gone for 2 days. I got to bed at 10pm.

I woke up at 3:15am. It hurt! I got to "senior" designer's house at 4:25. We got to the airport at 5:15. We took off at 6:30! We got to Bozeman at 11:30. We went to lunch at the Country Kitchen. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of roasted tomato soup. It was yummy!
It was an hour drive to MustardStone Club. It was still a construction site. The exterior was 85% done. The interior was all steel studs. Here are some photos:

___This is the exterior of the project______________This is the view from our client's condo.

__________These are both interior photos of our client's condo. This project is supposed to be finished by Christmas. Yeah, right.

This is where we stayed. These private cabins were awesome!! They are beautiful inside. A bit traditional for my taste but the bed was super comfy!!!!! The food that we had for dinner was excellent. We had elk and venison. The flavor was incredible. The price tag of all the items on the menu were like $34 and up. I love fancy restaurants. The portions are just right. You don't ever overeat and you usually get beautiful presentation and incredible taste!!! Of course "senior" designer had to get a sampler tray of all the desserts. There was cheesecake, huckleberry ice cream pie, and some kind of coffee dessert. I can't remember the names of the desserts but they were complicated names. "Senior" designer told me that when they first started the project they weren't locking the doors, but because there were lever handles on all the doors bears were breaking in. What do you know, the cabins were were staying in had lever handles. My imagination started running away with the thought of waking up and a bear breathing in my face. I checked to make sure the doors were locked like three times.

We had breakfast at the same restaurant and I had bacon and eggs! We went to the jobsite and watched our client land his helicopter nearby. We measure more and went over a list of items with the client and then went to the restaurant again for lunch. I had a bowl of roasted red pepper bisque and shrimp scampi. It was ok. I should have gotten a burger or a sandwich. Those looked better than my scampi. After lunch we went back to the jobsite and crammed in as much as we could. We had to leave at 2:15 to get to the airport on time. We just made it by 3:30. Our flight was supposed to leave at 4:30, but left at 5pm instead because of a Chicago flight that was delayed because of bad weather in Chicago. The flight to Denver was on a small plane. I memorized my memory verse, read my book and listened to my ipod. We had an 1 1/2 hour layover in Denver. It was a good thing because our gate was 3 miles away. I am so glad that "senior" designer had rented the electric scooter. I piled all our carry on bags and plans and he rode while I walked and hit all the moving walkways. We sat on the plane for an hour due to the navigation equipment not working properly. They finally got everything fixed and we were off. I watched tv and the time went by really fast. Once we got in, I discovered that we were at a completely different terminal that when we left. "Senior" designer booked flights on two different carriers so that we could get home earlier, rather than midnight. I walked to the other terminal, got the car, picked up "senior" designer, asked a traffic controller to help me put the electric scooter in the car and we were on our way home. I dropped him off, took all his stuff in the house, got into my car and was on my way home. I got home at 11:15pm and was in bed by 11:30!

I got to work at around 9am. I cleaned my office. "Senior" designer had a doctor's appointment. He was getting his cast off and getting a walking boot. I did a few things with the Barn job and took them to "senior" designer's house. I was really sick of seeing him!!! When I finally got home at 5:45, Lil'D and I played together for a while. I skipped small group because I hadn't seen him in two days. I gave him a bath, fed him his bottle and put him to bed. He was so ready to go to bed, he was so exhausted. I started addressing and stuffing envelopes for Lil'Ds birthday party!!! I am going to bed now. I will try not to get so behind in my blogging! Easier said than done.
-Until tomorrow

Weekly weigh in

Ok, So last week I worked out Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for 45 minutes each day! I didn't eat as well as I should have. I am having problems with dinner. If time gets away from me hubby and I get fast food. What fast food is good? If I get a salad it is best, but I don't always do that. The salad club at work is awesome. My lunch is always a tasty salad loaded with veggies!!! I have even been very good about the amount of dressing I put on it. NO MORE FAST FOOD!!!! BAD ELLIEMAE!!

So getting to the point:
Weight 1st tuesday (5-1-07)__________178
Weight last tuesday (5-8-07)__________173
Weight wednesday morning (5-16-07)__174

I am trying not to be discouraged because I lost 5 pounds the week before the challenge started. I feel stronger from lifting weights and my stamina is getting better!! I will just keep on it!!

Just what I needed!!

I was lurking at Notes from the Laundry Pile and came across this challenge. The timing couldn't be more perfect. The girls at Tales from the Scales have started a challenge! It is exactly what I need! Lil'D was born almost a year ago and I just couldn't get started on a workout program at all. I just started last Monday on April 30! I worked out 3 times last week and have worked out twice this week so far!! It will be great to have some other motivation besides holding myself accountable! Here are the ugly facts:
Current weight: 173
1st goal weight: 153
Final goal weight: 133
Normally I would NEVER post my weight, but I know that my current weight is due to the fact that I got pregnant and had a baby. Granted I could have tried not to gain as much as I did. But seeing how that is in the past, there is nothing I can do about that now. 153 was how much I weighed when I found out I was pregnant. It was definitely not where I wanted to be then. I started out the year knowing that I wanted to get pregnant and kind of just let myself eat whatever I wanted. Bad, bad, bad!
So I changed ALL my eating habits last week. A couple of the girls and I in the office have started a salad club. We each bring different salad ingredients each week and we have a salad for lunch everyday. I look so forward to that salad at 12:30. It is so yummy! When I get home in the evening and make dinner I try to eat a small portion, just enough to be full. Some nights I eat more that others, but I'm pretty good majority of the time. My weakness is Salt & Vinegar chips. I love them!! I broke down and had some last week...the first week. I am lame! I also love AM/PM French Vanilla with a touch of English toffee Cappuccinos! I am pretty good with this one. I only have a small one maybe twice a week. Usually I only have one because I don't have time to stop and get one! Lucky me!
So there it all is laid out on the table. I'M GONNA LOOSE THIS WEIGHT plus some!!!
Pray for discipline for me!! I am going to succeed!!
-Until tomorrow

I want to win...

So I was reading Chelsea Morning's Blog and found this contest. Everyday Mommy is giving away a blog design for free!! That would be fabulous. I have blindly been tweeking my blog for the past year and I'm still not 100% happy with it. It just takes time that I don't have. A professionally designed blog would be a dream!! Wish me luck!

Non-stop & no time for relaxin'

This weekend was packed with minute by minute stuff. Just stuff. Nothing super exciting but enjoyable.

I picked up "senior" designer at 7:30am. We went downtown to a jobsite. This was a condo on Market St on the 25th floor. The view was just incredible. You could see Coronado Island perfectly. It is really neat to see all the beautiful views all of our clients have. When we finally got to the office I worked on the kitchen revisions for Barn. "Senior" designer had a real hard look at our kitchen design and changed a bunch of stuff. This always happens. Over a year ago we designed the kitchen together. He really only glanced at it and changed a few things and never really looked at it again. He always does this. Tons of last minute changes in ten minutes and it takes me almost a whole day to change it all and get it to the manufacturer. I didn't get all the plans done for Monday. I don't know what I'm going to do because Mustard Stone still has to be done and there is tons of work to do on it. I brought work home, but just as I thought I didn't have any time to really start on it.

I got up at 7:30am. Lil'D and I played while Daddy slept in. He took Shadow to the vet to get her soochers out. She went nuts and they couldn't finish it. We have to take her back next Saturday, but sedate her beforehand.
Lil'D and I had a hair appointment at 11am. Lil'D's first haircut. He was so good. He didn't make a peep. After our hair appointment we went to Quiznos for lunch. We tryed to get Lil'D to lay down for his afternoon nap. He just wasn't having it. Amy Jo called and we had planned on going to Motherhood Maternity because she needed some new clothes! J called a couple of times, Lil'D was still fighting sleep. He just didn't want to let go. I got back home at 6pm and Lil'D had only taken about an hour catnap. We played for a while, ate, gave Lil'D a bath then finally to bed at 8:30. I started on a sign for the Charger's Mini Camp tomorrow. It says: Coach Bradley should be in the Hall of Fame. Coach Bradley is the secondary coach for the Charger's. The cool thing is he is from a small town in Texas about an hour from my hometown. So he has been dying to meet me. I spent 3 hours on the sign. We went to bed at about 1am.

We overslept, as usual. Lil'D didn't wake up until 8:15am. Lil'D and I played some in the morning, ate breakfast and he was tired and went down for his first nap like a charm. We were going to leave at around 11am, but since Lil'D was still sleeping we waited for him to wake up. He didn't wake up until 12pm. We got to mini camp at about 12:45. We saw Big D and we saw Coach Bradley and Coach Bradley saw his sign. He loved it. We got back home at about 2pm and got ready for Andy's band concert at 3pm. We left the house at 2:15pm. The concert was longer that we thought, but it was nice. Lil'D was really good, he didn't really fuss at all. We got home at about 6:30pm. I fed Lil'D while J went to the grocery store and got us dinner. We ate dinner while Lil'D played. We gave him a bath and got him in bed at 8:45. I watched House from last week and the finale of Amazing Race. I'm so bummed that the blondes didn't win. I liked them much better than the people who won. Time for bed.

May 3, 2007

Happy May day to ya!

I can't believe it's May. It just doesn't seem possible. Time needs to slow down just a tad. So here is what has been happening in the first couple of days of May:

I am on a major deadline crunch for two jobs. The Barn job plans have to be completely done and printed for tomorrow...scary!! Also the Mustard Stone job located in Montana. I have to have all the plans completed for that job by next Wednesday or Thursday. This is a 2 story, 5000 square foot condo. We are doing the cabinetry for the kitchen, bar, 5 baths, media center, bookcases and a really neat ceiling beam design. I'll try to post some photos of this one next week.
The work around here is either here and there or piled up to your eyeballs. Never hardly a happy medium.
The Barn job is moving right along. They are framing the house right now. I went out to the jobsite on Tuesday. It is really neat to see it in just the concrete slab stage and to look at it and know where everything is going because you know the floorplan so well.

Lil'D has a cold. It's not really a bad one, it's just an annoying one. He is pretty normal during the day, but at night he gets really achy I guess and just crys with pitiful little eyes looking at you. Tuesday he went to bed at 9:40pm. Last night he went to bed at 8:30pm. Poor little monkey. I'm ready for this cold to leave! One of the boys at daycare has a really bad cold right now and has missed two days because he has a fever. I hope we don't get a fever to. Hopefully this cold will be gone by Saturday!

I started working out on Monday night!!! This is huge! I haven't worked out really since we were in the old house. Once I had hit the six week mark I started walking then at the eight week mark I started running. That only lasted a week because the landlord called and wanted to sell the house. So I put working out on hold and packed up the house, moved and had to get the new house in order. I have finally got 90% of the house done!! So, I don't want to be a fat mom so I have forced myself to put in a workout. I workout once I have put Lil'D to bed at 7:30. I am currently doing a program called Slim in 6. Click here to check it out. I did this several years ago and it really builds your strength up gradually, before you know it you can do like 15-20 push ups. My arms have always been pretty weak so when I can do push ups that means something! The first dvd is called Start It Up. It is about 52 minutes long and introduces you to all the basic moves. I will do the first dvd the first week. The second dvd is called Ramp It Up and you do that workout for 2 weeks. The last dvd is called Burn It UP and you do that dvd for 3 weeks. We will see! You are "supposed" to do the dvd 5 times a week, yeah right! I will be doing my workout on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Pray for me to stay disciplined!!

Off I go to work super hard and efficient!
